PLEASE NOTE we have two special services in November, both on Sunday 9th.
During the 10.45am morning worship service we will be holding an Act of Remembrance where the Roll of Honour will be read out ahead of the silence and wreath laying.
In the afternoon at 4pm we will be holding our annual Bereavement Service. This is a short, reflective service during which we have names of loved ones read out and candles lit. If you can think of anyone who might like to come along to this service, please do invite them.
Also, please let Anne or Barbara know the name of someone special whose name you would like to have read out and remembered. We will also have a sheet at the back of church where you can add names.

As we did last year, we will be hosting our Day of Prayer & Thanksgiving between 10:00am and 4:00pm at church during and after our regular Friday Drop-In. Look out for a more detailed email/letter coming out before then outlining how your donations will be used in the year ahead.
The day itself will conclude with a short thanksgiving service from 3:50pm to which all are welcome.

BISHOP ROB SANER-HAIGH
Before his enthronement on Saturday 29th November at Carlisle Cathedral, Bishop Rob is planning to visit each Deanery in the diocese. It will be the turn of our deanery, Calder on Wednesday 12th November.
At 9am St John’s are hosting a short prayer meeting before the Bishop visits different venues in the diocese. We are all invited to attend if we can.

Sunday 7th December – Paul returns from his sabbatical and will lead our 10.45am service. Following the service, we are planning to have a faith lunch at the church hall. This will be a celebration of Paul not only being back but that we will be marking his 10th year anniversary of being with us. It will also be an opportunity to celebrate the return of the title of RECTOR OF MORESBY, no longer Priest in Charge.
